That means that we are going to sell off a lot of our stuff in order to make room, for example, our flat screen - Hi Def 62 inch TV, Stand and Boise system and speakers, to make way for a wall mounted flat screen, needless bookcases for built in shelves, tables, several TV’s, rock climbing equipment, camping equipment and much much more to make way for baby, we are even going to sell off our queen bed for a KING and accompanying bedroom furniture (i.e. dresser etc.. for a more practical and room fitting set up. So here’s some of the list, give us a call and we’ll see if we can make a Deal or No Deal for you…

List of some of the other stuff

Heck, I’ve even a car to sell… We’re gutting the house more than your Thanksgiving Turkey! I’ve even a 35mm Camera! lots of tools for your handyman, some pampered chef stuff, much much more… I see you drooling, take a shot, you’ve been looking for something! Odds are I’ve got it and in great shape! Just call me or email me at grilldog@grilldog.com otherwise, it’s going to be a charitable donation! Of course there’s also the Elk’s club yard sale in September but who wants to wait for that?

Our friends from Hacienda de Las Rosas Horse Farm and Winery in Romona where we filmed “Wine, Meats, Grille” and “Smok’n Sausages” have just opened a Tasting Room in Old Town, San Diego, and here is what they have to say about it…

Hacienda de las Rosas Winery, a family owned winery, is excited to announce the recent opening of our Tasting Room in Old Town, San Diego. Located in Plaza del Pasado at the Juan Street entrance, the Tasting Room offers fine San Diego County wines and a local artist gallery and garden room for a relaxed wine tasting experience. With photos and artwork of horses and early California History, our motto is “Drink Fine Wine…Ride Fine Horses”.

Included in the Wine Tasting are your choice of five wines (red and white), a complimentary Old Town wine glass, and a delicious appetizer tray. During the summer months, we have several featured artists and musicians…with currently featured Megan Cebe, Carol Marie Designs, Deborah Peters, Anne Heinbach, and Ron Titus…every weekend has a special on wine and artwork.

The Wine Tasting Room in Old Town, San Diego offers a perfect venue for your organization’s next fundraising event or meeting. We can work with you to develop a fund-raising event combined with music, food and wine tasting. In addition, the private garden room can be rented for parties of up to 20 for a unique meeting place during the week—day or evening. Non-profit organizations can obtain a special benefit of having the room fee reduced or waived.

We invite you to visit our tasting room, and enjoy a local wine tasting experience at the place where wine making and viticulture first started in California….right here in San Diego. Visit our website at www.haciendadelasrosas.org for more information about our horses, winery and new tasting room!
Location: Old Town San Diego, Plaza del Pasado, Juan Street Entrance
Hours: Sunday - Thursday 11:30 am - 7:00 pm
Friday and Saturday 11:30 am - 9:00 pm

So Stop on in and tell them Grilldog sent you, you’ll be glad you did!

Road Kill II - the Massacre

Was a huge success. We filmed at T&H Prime Meats and Sausages, 735 E Mission Rd in San Marcos last month. We had a huge crowd come out and taste all kinds of great food that was slow smoked on the donated Traeger Wood Pellet Grills. We had lots of wine from Twin Oaks Winery in San Marcos. We also had tons of great new recipes for your exotic Meats. The show should be edited and ready to air by the end of the month… Plus the folks at hauntedprops.com donated some scary looking creatures that aided in the first part of the show.. it’s gross. As of June 30th, I have started to edit the show! It’s awesatious…

Grilldog Presents: Celebrating our 40th Episode.

This month I’ll be putting together a compilation episode to celebrate our 40th episode. It’ll be some of the milestones that we have had that has driven the show towards its current direction of existentialism. I’m sure the very first “Splat” will be there, as well as, why we started doing it in the first place. Some of our favorite bloopers that taught us how to use the equipment we were working with. Also, the use of sponsors so I didn’t have to pay for everything. From that point we leaped to our new opening for the show to coincide with our national and international distribution starting in 2008 with some pretty strange shows like, Road Kill I and II. We’ll also see “Billdog’s” development. It’ll be lots of fun, ending with scenes from episode #41, Grilldog Presents: Out of Gas…. Foods that won’t make you fart.

Once we have the show compiled, we’ll be introducing it on the Jiggy Jaguar talk radio show in August!

_____

Grilldog’s Guide to Food, Fun and Friends, a recipe book for Life”, is almost ready for final edits. We are hoping to have it published and ready in time for Christmas! The last two chapters from the rough draft were pretty bad, I’m hoping to have it ready to preview in the beginning of July. I’m looking for someone that would like to edit it for me? Any volunteers? Just shoot me an email to grilldog@grilldog.com

_____

New Section: Grilldog’s Thoughts on Fatherhood!

Well, gang, I’m not a dad yet, a few more months to go before Junior Dog hits the stands. hmmm about the time I hope my book will be ready to be published! Anyway, it’s pretty exciting, since I like to be prepared, I thought I’d start planning for the future now. Since I’ll be 49 in a few months, first on the agenda is that I’m planning my retirement to be the same time as my son’s high school graduation… it’ll really be the same time frame anyway!

It is a pretty nervous time period right now. The ultrasounds show that he is healthy but there’s still months to go so we are not taking any chances. Grillpup doesn’t smoke nor drink alcohol so that’s great because that’ll insure that I have a designated driver. After all, wouldn’t want anything to happen to Good ole Grilldog! Secondly, I’m instigating a new policy around the house, no potty mouths and please and thankyou’s to be the norm. The way I am now I can see Junior Dog’s first day of class walking up to the teach and WTF give me the GD milk Now Beyotch! Now I don’t think I really want to go to school for that, after all, I’m an international celebrity, need to keep a low profile on things like that! hmmm, maybe I’ll just send Grillpup LOL

I know some folks argue back and forth as to if they want to know the sex of their baby or not. Everyone knows about my poor impulse control so you know I couldn’t wait. I think the reality of it all hit me when I found out it was a boy to carry on my Dog name LOL… So it’s exciting and I’m looking forward to it. I guess when my son talks about his OLD Man, he won’t be joking!

FAN Mail…

With Grilldog Presents airing all over the United States, New Zealand and Australia, I get asked frequently about feed back from my show. Unfortunately, Public Access shows like mine don’t hear from anyone unless we offend someone and they hate us. Recently, I received a nice email from some folks up in New Hampshire showing their support and telling how much they liked the show and hope their station continues to air it. Now that’s pretty cool. It makes the show worth while. I have had other comments about the show… The show’s so stupid I was fixed to the tv the entire time (great I thought, someone’s watching the show, it was exciting to know). Others liked the show but thought the bird poop on the fence in the background should have been cleaned. Basically, I’ve had all positive comments so that’s really exciting. I really appreciate the folks that watch the show and I’ll always vow to try and answer all serious comments that people send me either via email or my forum at www.grilldog.com/forum (it’s free).

Recipe for the Month

Recipe from Grilldog Presents: Out of Gas. We had a lot of fun filming Out of Gas, a show all about foods that won’t make you fart. The great folks at the International Foundation for Functional Gastrointestinal Disorders IFFGD.org provided us with some great information.

Did you know that research has indicated that farts, i.e. gaseous butt emissions are adding to the deterioration of the ozone and thus a cause of the Greenhouse effect! Of course, us all here in California need to keep that tidbit of information away from our legislatures up in Sacramento or they’ll find a way to TAX our farts! I can see it now, they’ll pass a law requiring all pants being sold in the state to have an environmental tax applied plus be designed with a device to measure our release for amount and toxicity! People coming into our state from other states will have an environmental impact tax owed on each pair of pants they own and if they do not have the required emission measuring device up their ass, one will have to be inserted. Unfortunately, I can see that within 2 days I’ll have exceeded my emission allotment for the year and of course will have to pay an additional Fine. Can you see a little red sticker tattooed on our asses stating “Gross Polluter” do not go near open flames!

If you want fart free Beans, soak the beans over night in clear water. Drain the water, rinse the beans and cook the beans in fresh water. That’s all there is to it!

As Time Goes By

I was glad to hear from everyone when my mother passed away just a few weeks ago. She left many Journals and writings of her life and I’m reading through them attempting to understand her views and how we were raised. What I’m finding is something that is not uncommon, someone who, for what ever reasons kept their motives and reasonings to themselves. Someone who didn’t want to burden others. A person pious and loving and didn’t want unneeded attention. As I read, I understand someone for the first time, that my logic tells me I should have known all my life. As I’m looking forward to becoming a parent for the first time, I’m considering these revelations and I’m sure it’s going to effect my decisions now and in the future. I hope to become a “better parent”, as the saying goes. (Although, I’m sure decades from now my child will be in therapy accusing me of all of their dysfunctions… doc, just take a look at this video from his TV show! He was loony, that just ain’t right! LOL)

The point I’m making is that I don’t care how old you are, make a Will, tell your family your plans and desires. Take the time to tell them all how you feel and what is on your mind. Because once you are gone, you’re Gone.  You can leave a void that’s not ever going to be filled or fill the hearts of many. Love each other as though it’s your last Day and also as though you have a millennium to come.

What else is new?

Grilldog is barking about possibly being a national spokesperson for a great product line… but that’s a secret until everything is confirmed…

The London Report

Once again I found myself winging my way to Jolly ole England. The first part of the trip was work related and then Grillpup showed up at the end of the week for a 5 day holiday. This was especially exciting since with JR coming along in a few months it would be the last trip abroad Grillpup and I could take together for some time. Our next trip is planned for October of 2009 for my 50th birthday in Mazatlan, Mexico. We have time sharing there and can get cheap rates at a great resort so we hope many of you can join us! I’m posting a lot of my London trip information on my forum. Therefore, if you are interested in more detail or opinions of our adventure, check out www.grilldog.com/forum. During filming of our pub crawl, one of the local pubers made the statement that he has become disappointed with London because when ever he came into town there were more and more unfriendly foreigners. Now he wasn’t talking about the rock group nor tourists but the actual people working in

London. Unfortunately, I found his statement to be true. All the businesses seemed to be run by foreigners who couldn’t speak English very well or at all. Dang, if I wanted that kind of hassle I’d have stayed in San Diego, at least here I can understand enough Spanish that I can pretty much get by. As for London, I found all the Londoners I met, very nice, polite and helpful. However, those folks working there from out of town were, frankly, rude, just to be rude! Grillpup had decided not to ever go back to London within her first few hours there, stating that Londoners were just viciously rude. However, I did point out that the folks that were rude were from other countries. That didn’t make it better but it was more understandable. All n All we did have a great time. We did a few walking tours and the on and off buss was OK, however, they alluded to the fact that the on and off bus ran 24 hours but it didn’t and we wasted half a day off the bus. The boat tour up the Thames was fun and relaxing and they had beer so I was happy. I doubt I really have any desires to go back to London for a vacation; there are other places I haven’t been to. This was my 4th trip to Jolly ole England and between the cost of everything there, our deflating dollar in the US and the attitude of the people, I’d just as soon sit in the pool in my own back yard with a DVD playing and a cold beer that didn’t cost 8 dollars. If I wanted to spend 8-10 dollars on a beer, I’d go to a Padre’s Game.

NEWS FLASHes - sort of like HOT Flashes, I guess they are GRILL Flashes!

In May:

Grilldog filmed the opening scene for the Road Kill II show… it’s disgusting: Can’t wait for June to film the rest of it.

Grilldog was filming a pub crawl in London, England - There were quite a lot of problems with this episode. Filming that is. Not everyone showed up that were supposed to, not all pubs were cooperative, people left the crawl early. But I think Grilldog, Being Grilldog, can pull it all together, some how!!!

May 17th We filmed the “Rubbing IT Right” Episode. Featuring the Traeger Wood Pellet Grill and “Get Your Rub On” BBQ Rub www.getyourrubonbbq.com, at Grill Pick’l’s house in Chula Vista. It was certainly going back to our crazier way of doing a show! It had good Splat!

Grilldog’s Four Paws and a Tail Salutes! This months Four Paws and a Tail Salute goes to…

McDonald’s in London for having the only FREE Easy to use, wi-fi service in the area that was always available. I still won’t eat there, but I’ll surf there (though Grillpup enjoyed her burger and fries)!

Grilldog’s Hind Leg Salutes!

The hotels in London. First, I stayed in an IBIS hotel. They are typically like the European version of Howard Johnson’s. The internet didn’t connect in the rooms. What they had available was very expensive. I could walk down the street and use an internet cafe for 1/3 the cost. They wouldn’t offer shampoo or any toiletries (although their promotions said they did). When asked, their typical response was, it’s not part of our service.

The second hotel was the Wellington over near Victoria Station. Advertising a discount rate, although you may have to share a bathroom, the picture of the place was great, we booked it. However, although they advertised Internet availability, they had none, the place was more of a fire trap then a tourist trap and you had to share a bathroom and shower with 30 other guests!

STARBUCKS in London, gets an honorary Hind leg salute for advertising free Internet, which they don’t have. What they do have costs an arm and a leg for up to an hour service within a 24 hour time period. However, what they don’t tell you is that you Do Not get 1 hour that you can use intermittently in a 24 hour time period. Your 1 hour starts as soon as you log in and 1 hour later, whether you use the service or not, your time is up (even though they advertise to the contrary)!

Recipe for the Month

In our egg episode filmed at Mr D’s in

Chula Vista we demonstrated some new “egg” recipes. We made Egg Drop Soup, Egg Fu Young, Egg Rolls and topped it all off with a Triple Cheese, Chili, Chutney Fried egg sandwich. That’s basically a club sandwich (three slices of bread) with 3 fried eggs, 3 slices of melted cheese, chili sauce and chutney. We used a mango Chutney. This is a state of the art recipe for avoiding hangovers in the morning after a night of binge drinking. Or so I’ve heard.Chutney is similar in consistency to jelly, salsa or relish, and is used as a sweet and sour condiment. Usually made fresh, chutney contains fruit and sugar to give it a sweet taste, and almost all chutney contains vinegar and perhaps onions to give it a corresponding sour flavor. The ingredients are mixed together and then simmered slowly. While chutney is primarily sweet and sour, there can also be many variations of spices, often giving it a hot and spicy flavor. Originating in India, chutney was imported from India to Western Europe in the 17th century. European reproductions of chutney were often called “mangoed” fruits and vegetables, as one of the most common fruits used in the making of chutney is the mango. The word chutney is derived from the East Indian word Chatni. The Hindi word for “to crush” literally means “to make chutney.” This signifies the process by which chutney is made; often the ingredients are crushed together with a stone. Like jams and jellies, chutney can be chunky or smooth. In India spicy chutney is usually served with curry and often with cold meats and vegetables. Sweet chutney is a pleasant addition to bread or crackers and cheese and can serve as a snack or small meal. Some of the more popular ingredients for chutney in addition to mangoes, are limes, apples, peaches, plums, apricots, tomatoes, lemons and even coconuts. Additional spices may include cloves, garlic, cilantro, mustard, cinnamon, ginger, cayenne pepper, jalapeños, tamarind and mint. Chutney is so diverse that it can be made with only a few of these ingredients or several, to make a variety of flavors and styles.

Mango Chutney

6 Fresh mangoes, pitted, peeled and diced (remove seed)

Pour 1 cup light brown sugar over mangoes and let sit over night

Next day

Discard liquid

1 cup cider vinegar
2 tbl garlic
1 tbl freshly grated ginger
2 tbl cilantro
2 tsp cayenne
1 tsp clove
1 diced Habanera pepper.

Bring to boil and then simmer 20 minute and chill

Oh, by the way, we didn’t make it that way for the show.

Eagle Point Lodge in Julian: We stayed at the Eagle Point Lodge while we were filming in Julian. Bailey’s Woodpit BBQ in Julian. I’ve always enjoyed Bailey’s BBQ whenever I stop by Julian. They have great Pit BBQ and are very customer service oriented. 2307 Main St. Julian, CA. They have a full bar and dancing on Fri and Sat nights.

Rongbranch Restaurant in Julian. There was a bit of confusion when we arrived to film the dinner scene. It seems the secret of Grilldog Filming there was kept a secret even from the manager of the place LOL… We did have fun there and they had good food. 2722 Washington St., Julian, CA

Julian Pie Company in San Isabel. There’s two locations for Julian Pie Company, the one we filmed at is in San Isabel on the way to/from Julian and the other is in Julian. It’s a family run operation and certainly was a very tasty part of our trip. www.julianpie.com 2225 Main St., Julian

Grilldog’s Hind Leg Salutes!

I was talking with my sister the other day. She is a social worker and we were talking about what brings people into counseling and how she gets her clients when she revealed to me a wild story. Evidently, she got a new client the other day. The client is actually a couple that were seeing another therapist until the therapist charged the couple 50 dollars for a no show. Evidently, the therapist has a policy that if you don’t cancel an appointment within 24 hours, and you don’t show up you are billed $50.00. Well at the sound of this, it seems legit and I was curious to discover if there were any other factors contributing to the couples departing that particular therapist’s care.

It seems that the couple had been seeing the therapist for about 8 months, weekly at first and then every other week (my sister likes to go into detail). They always paid in advance and even called when traffic seemed congested and it looked like they’d be a few minutes late. Then one day the wife woke up in the morning with symptoms of a heart attack and she had to be rushed to the emergency room the morning of the next therapy session. Realizing they were not going to be leaving the hospital anytime soon, the couple notified the therapist of the life threatening medical emergency and informed her that they would have to cancel the appointment. In fact the Doctors told the couple that if the woman walked out of the hospital before more tests could be made, she could Die! I’d say that qualifies as an excused absence. Lucky for the couple the heart attack wasn’t a heart attack and merely acid reflux that can have symptoms similar to a heart attack.

The following week, the couple returned to the therapist for an appointment, and the therapist was demanding they pay the $50.00, then and there! What? For a life Threatening medical emergency! What if the wife had died, would Dr greedy butts send a bill to the widower? I understand that the Therapist refused to listen to any arguments simply stating that 24 hours is 24 hours and she ended up having to pay $50.00 herself so the couple needed to bite $50.00, too! What? Who was she paying this imaginary $50.00 to? Herself? Well, after the session the couple decided not to go back to this person. My sister says that she had never heard of that kind of practice before and followed up on the story and it was true! OMG… So anyone out there that’s a professional that actually would charge someone for missing an appointment when they were experiencing a medical life threatening emergency such as that… gets a big Hind Leg Salute from Grilldog…. This one might even win my Hind Leg Salute of the Year award! If it had happened to me, I wouldn’t have even stayed for the session and would have told the witch off right then and there… Grilldogs can bark pretty loudly when upset! (I didn’t have anything personal to bark about myself, it’s been a good month)

Irish Taco’s ” The Breakfast Taco”

With the Advent of my Irish Taco Show, I’ve been getting a lot of requests as to just what an Irish Taco is. Well it’s just a Taco stuffed with Irish Style food. First we did not use Cornbeef… you’ll have to watch the show to find out… Let’s just say, it’s not really Real Irish Food.

So here’s the Breakfast Taco for you.

We grilled up some sausage links and European (Canadian) style bacon. If you want to crisp up your bacon you can. We grilled up some tomatoes and fried some eggs. We then built the whole thing up on a Taco Rack from La Cook a Rack a Ltd in New York and toasted the shell and melted some cheddar on top… Then we served in a taco rack with some sour cream and chopped cilantro on top… The Kids Loved them… the adults were licking their lips too!

APRIL

In Loving Memory of Mom

7/3/1932 - 3/18/2008

After a Long Battle with Cancer

Mom passed away peacefully at 5:40 on Tuesday Morning, March 18th, 2008. It was a long and hard battle on all of us.

Obituary - Last Names Edited for posting here

Mom, 75, of Fairground Road, Lewisburg, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, Pa.

Born July 3, 1932, in Newport, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Frederick Reed and Frances. She was a longtime resident of Bridgeton, N.J. and moved to Lewisburg in 2004.

Mom graduated from Bridgeton High School. She was a member of Pearl St. Baptist Church, in Bridgeton, and attended Reformed Baptist Church, in Lewisburg.

She is survived by her husband; a son and daughter-in-law of Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law of Middleburg; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, PA and two sisters of Bridgeton.

In addition to her parents, a sister, Mary and a brother, predeceased her.

Mom was a loving supportive mother and dedicated wife. She touched the hearts of everyone she met with love and kindness. She will be remembered and missed by all.

A memorial service was held in Lewisburg on Wednesday, March25th.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South 2nd and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.

The Last Days - by Grilldog

In March, during the last days of my mother’s life, my sister, my 2 nieces and I kept vigil along side my mother’s bed at the hospital in Lewisburg, PA as we watched her slowly slip away from us. It was a hard 7 days on the 4 of us and in a way brought us closer. If there was a lesson to be learned it was one of compassion, love and togetherness. I’m sure I can speak for the four of us in thanking everyone that offered support and comfort. One message I would like to pass on. If you have children, or loved ones, please inform them when you are ill, your personal struggles, strengths, weaknesses. Your friends and family that want to be there to help are not there out of pity or regret but out of Love and Compassion. Let them know what your wishes are in the sad event you are taken away. People are probably tougher and kinder than you may think they are and it’s a lot easier to know what your wishes are before you pass away, rather than scrambling to find out in the end. It doesn’t matter how old you are, if you are in great shape or sick, communication is the key. Secrets are for game shows and that’s a Grilldog Tip you can live by.

Life is not like a video game, we only get one life, use it for good because we don’t get a replay.

Marching Forward in March!

WORLD DOMINATION - ONE STEP AT A TIME

GRILLDOG Airing AROUND THE WORLD, Does RIPLEY’s BELIEVE IT or NOT!!!!

In the last issue I was really PO’.d. I had so many people thinking that I was running some sort of business and they didn’t understand that Community Access TV was world wide and an expression of Free Speech. Seriously, I’m Grilldog and I feel that if we lived in a world that governed itself by the bylaws of “Food, Fun and Friends” that the world would be a much better place. Therefore, I decided to take the bulldog by the horns and kick some serious booty. Hot from the Road Kill Episode, I set my sites on nothing less then World Wide Distribution. As a Result, I am now going to be aired in more places than just San Diego. Why? Because I want the world to hear my cry, my plea, my pledge to bring to us a peace and sense of joy that’s, well, worth sinking your teeth in to.

Oh, I hear you, so what can you do with a backyard production like Grilldog Presents? Reach out to the world, change the word, bring peace… Maybe! It’s at least Worth a Try and WHO Better then your lovable Grilldoggie!

Grilldog is now going to be airing in these fine cities and these fine channels and in these fine Countries…AROUND THE WORD! Go to www.grilldog.com to check on the status, times and other valuable information. So if you are in any of these locations that air the show, check their website or call the station for times and channels.

The states where I am not aired I need help from a local person. Please Help Spread Freedom of Speech, here Grilldog Howl!!! Basically, many stations need a local sponsor to support the show. However, I can’t afford to air in locations that falsely charge an illegal “membership fee” nor where they’ll only take a tape.

Plus other stations around the world and in the USA are reviewing the format for inclusion on their station. When it comes to dogg’n something, I’m the dog that’s doing the Dogg’n.

SO, ASK YOURSELF, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR THE WORLD IN THE PAST THREE WEEKS?

Grilldog is regaining OUR and YOUR Freedom of Speech

One of the things that Grilldogs do is Bark. But we don’t bark up the wrong tree. Grilldog and the Grillpack of Friends around the world have something to Howl about. Actually, we have a lot to Howl About. We are against small minded petty, uptight Neanderthals whose minds are about as big as a gnat’s ass. Public Access TV is Really Dying away. It is an expression of our Free Speech and it’s an arena that is recognized World Wide. So, I have this to say… If you really, I mean really, feel that you have to go out of your way to try and stop me and others like me that are utilizing one of our last platforms for free speech, then I don’t even have the effort to give you the hind leg salute… just do it to yourself and do the world a favor. Meanwhile, the Grillpack of friends and myself are going world wide!!! So you can swivel on That!

GRILLDOG IS “ALSO” ON YOUTUBE

Just go to You Tube (youtube.com) and type in Grilldog and Join in all the fun. Of course the Full Episodes are not on You Tube, just enough to get your mouth watering to buy one of our Great DVD’s. The DVD’s now come with 4 Episodes per DVD and you can design your own Four Episode DVD!!!

NEWS FLASHes - sort of like HOT Flashes

The Road KILL SHOW!

Saturday, January 12th, the Great “Road Kill” Episode at the Blarney Stone. We had a booty of bounty or was that a bounty of booty, donated from the great folks at T&H Prime Meats and Sausages in San Marcos, CA. We had Rattlesnake from Arizonia, Snapper Turtle from Maryland, Partridge, California Squab, Montana deer back strap, New Zealand Farm Raised Red Deer Back Strap, South African Ostrich, Miami Gator, Mid West Buffalo and frog legs from China. Plus we had a blast, the cast included but limited to:

Grill Cat, Billdog, the Pirate Band Dannicus Live, Traeger Wood Pellet Grille, T&H Prime Meats, Twin Oaks Winery, Witch Creek Winery, Mary Kay Cosmetics, the Blarney Stone, TACO RACKS South Bay Rod and Gun Club in Dulzura and my favorite Helping Hand, Good ole Grillpup… Plus we introduce Roadie Dog, my one man Road Crew.

There were a ton of Door Prizes from La-Cook-a-Rack-a Ltd in New York (TACO RACKS, they are so cool) and Mary Kay Cosmetics who demonstrated make up techniques on Grilldog (is there anything this dog won’t do for the show?), wine from Twin Oaks Winery in San Marcus, Wine glasses from the Witch Creek Winery in Julian and so much more… so this was one Awesatious event.

Plus, We had a special Co-Host Grill-Cat and of course Billdog was there, too. You can catch snapshots of the pre-filming at www.grilldog.com/forum.

All of the TV Stations that are Airing Grilldog Presents: Around the World.

Grilldog’s Hind Leg Salutes!

In the past couple months I’ve become somewhat of an expert on Community Access TV. There’s several Names running around, Community Access, Public Access, Public Educational and Government TV, etc. These organizations are Electronic Soap boxes for freedom of speech and are supposed to be set up by the cable company to provide a Free Service to the community. However, there are a small number of them that Charge you to put your show on the air. They call this a “membership fee”, yes, just like at the gym, those bogus charges, and don’t even get me started on Housing “Closing Costs” !!! Anyway, these stations do this as a way they generate revenue for a service that is supposed to be Free. They are actually Not supposed to do this. For those Stations out there that have a “Yearly” membership charge or other charge to the producers or community for airing their shows, Grilldog gives you all the Big Hind Leg Salute!

In Next Month’s News.

Recipe for the Month

Turkey Italiano, Grilldog Style

While trying to navigate around Rome, Grilldog got lost, which Grilldog’s typically do! Fortunately, Grilldog was in an area where there were many food establishments and decided to just find a place and sit down. Browsing the menu’s Grilldog heard some familiar laughter, turned and to his surprise had stumbled upon many of his friends from the group that had flown to Italy with him! Of course, they were happy to see Good Ole Grilldog (who isn’t?) and insisted that he sit and join in the camaraderie. A new bottle of wine was delivered in honor of the new guest and everyone toasted in their own language; French: Votre Sante; Italian: Alle Tua Salute; German: Prosit; Spanish: Salud: Japan: Kanpai; British: Cheers. Afterwards, Grilldog was recommended to try the breaded Turkey and Mozzarella dinner. It was a good choice! Here is Grilldog’s version.

Thick sliced Turkey breast, not sandwich thin.

4 eggs
1 cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon butter — melted
mozzarella cheese sliced one for each Slice of Turkey
Fresh mushrooms – chopped as many as you like
1 Red Bell Pepper
Fresh Basil leaves one for each slice
Your favorite Marinara sauce
Salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste.

Dip turkey slices in beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs. Melt butter in a frying pan but don’t burn. Place the breaded Turkey slices in the pan with the butter and Brown. When browned place turkey in a baking, top each slice with a slice of Mozzarella and a Basil Leaf then top with your favorite Marinara sauce, mushrooms, basil leaves peppers and salt and pepper to taste. Bake till cheese melts. Serve with Pasta and Wine and your guests will be saying Salute’ too!
