With Great Sadness we report the passing away of Chef Nancy Balaise, aka “Chefy”
This month we are dedicating our Howler to a great woman who, despite the struggles of battling Kidney Disease, always had time for her friends. I wish I had a salute better than a four paws and a tail, because Chefy deserves it, owns it, lived it and really knew what friendship was all about. Many times Chefy would email me tips, advice or recipes while she was sick, in pain and going through dialysis. I never knew that she was emailing me information and help while she was suffering til after the fact. She was a great woman and I will always remember her and love her. In her memory I’m collecting a number of recipes and advice that she has given me in these past 2 years that I’ve known her and produce a special show in her memory. The world lost a great person.
I am working on this special episode in her memory. We discussed many episodes and foods and recipes. I’m going to compile what I have and make a show. The best one is going to be homemade peanut butter cups. She was the sweetest and was like a 2nd Mom to me when my Mom passed away, almost exactly a year ago.

The Baja Blues Boys (who composed, wrote (I think writing is composing but I want to make sure or I’ll get emails) and sang my theme song (ok, this post is sort of about me) has FINALLY released their first CD! woo hoo. Although my theme song isn’t on it, I’m sure it was just an over site (let’s see I air their song twice in every episode, I’ve done 54 shows, thats (now not everyone raise their hands at once) 108 times, in a show that is one of the most distributed Public Access Shows in the entire World! Now that’s Big.

Grilldog In Japan
I have been working on duplicating some of the recipes of food that I had while I was in Japan and filmed me making one. Imagine that, me filming me, someone call Freud. It’s really tasty, you’ll really have to watch OMGzilla when it airs in your location or purchase the DVD, it’s going to be awesatious. It’s called Okonomiyaki and is popular in Hiroshima and Osaka. I made the Tokyo Version. My good Buddy Yoshio, voice over from Road Kill II, took me all over the place and I’m editing the footage now for my episode OMGzilla.

In Tantalizing Tacos II Part II, Grilldog and the Grill Gals from Pure Platinum Gentleman’s club and sports bar finish up the grill’n and chill’n from part one in Backyard Creations in Kearny Mesa, CA. Plus we make a great new drink that we called a Sexican. All I can say is that it has tequila in it!
In Getting Sauced, we filmed at the Warm Hearth in La Mesa. They supplied a ton of food and I made 6 sauces that can go on anything grilled and we had a great time. Oh the sauce recipes just happened to be from my published recipe book, Grilldog’s Guide to Food, Fun and Friends.
IN Recipe for Romance, Grilldog films on location in the Pure Platinum Club, with the Grill Gals. We set the stage (literally, we were sitting on the stage) for a discussion and food feast of foods that are aphrodisiacs. All of the ingredients in all of the recipes are considered aphrodisiacs… Is that Grilldog changing costumes In The Gals Locker Room?! OMG WARNING, you’ll never look at an oiled veggie the same way again.
In Beer, Fondue and Fun we go to O’Connor’s Irish Pub in La Mesa and make up a bunch of Fondue with a variety of micro brews. Plus we have a new set of Grill Gals we introduced that we’re sure you’ll find Titillating!

Jr Dog Update:
Jr Dog missed his papa dog while he was in Japan but thanks to Web Cam and Skype we got to talk to each other every day. Every time I said something he would get a BIG Grin and smile just knowing that his daddy was there for him, if only in bits and bytes. He’s growing mighty big and starting to hold his bottle all by himself. He loves meeting people and looks forward to new adventures. However, be forewarned that if he has that bottle up to his mouth and drinking away, you better not interrupt or you’ll have a fight on your hands… hmm, takes after his old man already LOL

Grillpup enjoyed her respite for a week with Grilldog away. She watched many videos, none of which I would have cared to see. Jr dog learned a lot watching the Game Show Network 24/7 and Grillpup says she’s Happy with our new landscaped lawn and we got eco friendly glass put in the house so it will be cooler. That’s certainly making her tail wag a little more. She’s also putting her Altima up for Sale so if you are looking for a used car let her know. I have a 440cc scooter now so I don’t need no stink’n car LOL. I even took a skills test so I have all the skills and a card to prove it, so I’ll be on the highway soon, as soon as I get over my fear of dying! Grillpup is very supportive since she found out how much life insurance I have!

I did take a lot of footage while I was in Japan and my next show is going to be based on my trip there. It will sort of be like my London Trip except without doing a Pub Crawl.

I put this down here because I didn’t think any of you would make it this far. It’s been a wild month. My buddy Chefy passed away but didn’t make the news although I think the lives she touched were far greater than Mr Ed Publisher’s Clearing House McMann, Farrah who let’s not even contemplate the causes of her Anal Cancer, and of course Mr Pop star himself, Ms. MJ give me a kid for a BJ. I have a 7 mo old lil boy and all I can say is that there is one less Child molester in the world. NO matter what good he did, it doesn’t justify for his TASTE for lil boys. As far as I’m concerned all of his actions, behaviors and justifications were typical of a maladjusted malicious predator. Feel free to honor him, idolize him and ignore his lust for lil boys, I won’t say another word. However, let it be known that Grilldog does not respect anyone that does harm to children and I’ll never ever idolize someone that did, no matter how much good they did… Oh, making pop music is doing something good? Did he save lives? Did he create new medicines? No he built a children’s theme park in his back yard, talk about giving candy to babies.. I’ll stop now, but I think you get the point. Maybe I’ll go have some “Jesus Juice” (that’s what he called the wine he gave his lil victims) The following web link should not be followed if you think MJ is a God.
